Kathy Wangen-Regional Operations Director

Kathy has over 30 years of experience in working with individuals in this field. Sixteen of these years were spent with Excel Employment Options and the people whom she continues to serve to this day! During this time, Kathy has been a leader in the field of employment services, serving on the Board and as President of the Michigan Association for Persons in Supported Employment (MIAPSE). Some of the innovative programs that she developed within Excel Employment Options were, the School to Work Transition Program, Supported Self-Employment opportunities, Autism related trainings, Employability Skills and Social Skills Curriculums and Summer Work Opportunity Programs. 

Kathy has a passion for helping individuals achieve their employment goals and is certified in Customized Employment within Vocational Rehabilitation Systems, Employment Services, Creating Community Careers, Customized Employment and Training of Trainers and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a Health Care Administration minor in Social Work.  

Krystal Rochon-Program Director of Operations

Krystal is the most passionate person you will ever meet in assisting individuals with their employment needs! She has over 20 years of experience in this field, seventeen of which were spent with Excel Employment Options and the individuals whom she continues to work with today! Krystal has extensive knowledge and understanding around the needs of employment related services and has helped hundreds of people find and maintain their employment positions. 

Krystal has served on the Statewide Training Workgroup whose focus was to develop training reciprocity throughout the State of Michigan and is certified in Customized Employment and Supported Employment Services and has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. 

Kathy Dewey-Program Director of Services

Kathy has over seven years’ experience brought to us through her previous work with Excel Employment Options and has achieved success in being a small business owner for many years.  She leads our staff and individuals with gentleness and grace. Kathy enjoys ensuring that our program runs smoothly and is exceptional at creating diversification opportunities for all.

Kathy is certified in Customized Employment and Supported Employment Services and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
